RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM
Registration for the Religious Education Program will be held every Saturday in September from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. downstairs in McIntyre Hall.
Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD)
The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine program is offered to students in Grades 1–12 preparing for Baptism, First Holy Communion, and/or Confirmation.
CCD classes are held on Saturdays, beginning in October, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. At least one parent or guardian must attend the first day of class.
Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)
The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults is also offered to adults ages 18 and older:
• Catechumens – Unbaptized adults who wish to learn about the Catholic Faith and the possibility of becoming Catholic. • Candidates for Profession of Faith – Christians from other faith traditions who wish to learn more about the Catholic Faith and the possibility of joining the Catholic Church. • Candidates – Baptized Catholics who have not received First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation.
Classes for OCI Youth, 2nd Year Confirmation, and OCIA are held on Sundays, beginning in October, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Requirements to Bring at Registration:
- Original Birth Certificate*
- Original Baptismal Certificate (if applicable) - First Communion Certificate (if applicable) - Class Completion Certificate (if applicable) - Registration Fee (fees are subject to change)
*Certificates and records will be based on the information provided on the student’s Birth Certificate. To ensure that all Sacraments are properly recorded, please submit all necessary documents to prevent errors or future complications.
